Summary

The Security Guard / EMT is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while providing immediate medical assistance during emergencies. This position combines security operations with emergency medical response to protect people, property, and assets while ensuring rapid, professional medical care when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Security Duties:

• Patrol hotel property (interior and exterior) to deter theft, vandalism, and unsafe conditions

• Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and access points

• Respond to security incidents, disturbances, and guest concerns in a professional manner

• Enforce hotel policies, rules, and local laws as appropriate

• Assist with crowd control during events or emergencies

• Complete incident, accident, and shift reports accurately and promptly

• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.

Medical / EMT Duties:

• Provide emergency medical care to guests, visitors, and staff in accordance with EMT training and protocols

• Respond to medical emergencies such as injuries, illnesses, cardiac events, or accidents

• Perform first aid, CPR, AED use, and patient assessment as needed

• Maintain medical equipment, supplies, and readiness at all times

• Document medical incidents accurately and in compliance with privacy regulations

• Assist with emergency evacuations and disaster response procedures.
