Hourly Rate
$17.75Summary
Assists with the development, coordination and implementation of the Club’s year-round adult tennis programs.Administers group clinics for Club members and apartment guests.
Solicits member feedback and suggestions and reviews tennis program requests with Tennis Director.
Assists with the implementation of a calendar of social tennis events and activities for Club members
Actively promotes and assists with the maintenance of the Club’s tennis ladders for A, B and C-level adult players
Assists with the coordination of inter-club tournaments for A, B and C-level players at home and at area clubs.
Audits use of the courts and court maintenance on a daily basis
Assists with court maintenance through engineering
Arranges for rentals of ball machines and tennis equipment
Provides quality service to members and guests that meets or exceeds expectations.
Confers with members and apartment guests regarding activities, policies and enrollment procedures.
Arranges medical attention for an ill or injured members and/or apartment guests in accordance with company instructions.
Assists with the maintenance of the tennis activities board.
Attends monthly department meetings for the Tennis Retail Shop staff and Tennis Program staff.
Ongoing tracking of the tennis program.
Other duties may be assigned throughout the year.
OUTCOME
The Assistant Tennis Professional will create positive member and guest impressions of the total organization by implementing a variety of tennis-oriented activities for Club members and apartment guests which are fun, creative, active and cost-effective.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent in education or related industry required; or minimum of three years related experience and/or training in equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively in English before guests, children, parents, managers, or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be a USPTA Pro 1 Level certified teaching professional, or upgrade to this status within three months of hire. Must also obtain and maintain current CPR & First Aid Training Card. (CPR/First-Aid Training to be provided by employer.)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.

INTERACTION
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will interact frequently with the adult members and apartment guests, as well as the children of members, hotel guests and non-members. This employee will also interact frequently with the membership services staff, tennis pro & tennis shop staff, front desk staff, catering staff and property service employees, as well as occasional interaction with the housekeeping and engineering staffs. The employee must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with both internal and external customers mentioned.
SCHEDULING
Must be available to work Holidays and Weekends.
This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed shift if business or task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determined the number of hours that you work.
