The Overnight Security Services Representative/EMT is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment during overnight hours while providing immediate medical response and first aid when needed. This position combines proactive security patrols with emergency medical support to protect members, guests, employees, and property. Promotes and follows LJBTC, Inc.’s Signature Service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests.Security Responsibilities
Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of the property to ensure safety and security.
Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and access points during overnight hours.
Enforce property rules, policies, and procedures in a professional manner.
Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, suspicious activity, and emergencies.
Control access to the property and verify credentials when required.
Complete detailed incident, accident, and activity reports before the end of each shift.
Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire, and emergency services when necessary.
Perform building checks, lock/unlock facilities, and secure sensitive areas.
EMT/Medical Responsibilities
Respond immediately to medical emergencies and provide first aid or emergency medical care within EMT scope of practice.
Assess patients, stabilize injuries or illnesses, and determine if advanced medical care is required.
Use medical equipment (AED, oxygen, first aid kits, etc.) appropriately and safely.
Document all medical responses and patient interactions accurately.
Assist with transport coordination when emergency services are activated.
Maintain medical supplies and ensure readiness of emergency equipment.
Additional Responsibilities
Serve as the primary emergency responder during overnight hours.
Provide assistance and reassurance to guests, members, or staff during emergencies.
Communicate effectively with management regarding incidents or concerns from overnight operations.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Follow all safety, health, and confidentiality guidelines (including HIPAA, where applicable).
Outdoor and indoor patrols in varying weather conditions.
Exposure to medical emergencies, high-stress situations, and overnight operational challenges.
Qualifications Requirements
Current EMT certification (EMT-B minimum).
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Strong observational, communication, and report-writing skills.
Ability to remain calm and decisive in emergency situations.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or emergency medical services.
Experience in hospitality, private club, resort, or healthcare environments.
Knowledge of emergency response protocols and incident command systems.
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
Ability to lift, carry, or assist individuals as needed during medical responses.
Ability to respond quickly to emergencies, including climbing stairs or navigating uneven terrain.
