The salary range for this position is $79, 900 - $99, 900 per year. Offered salary is dependent upon experience and San Francisco location. POSITION SUMMARY

As a Merchandise Planner, you will execute strategic planning and analysis, forecasting, and inventory management. This role involves in-depth analysis of sales data and market trends to inform both bottoms-up and tops-down forecasting processes. Success requires a collaborative approach, working closely with Brand Management and Supply Chain teams to implement and refine merchandising plans that meet customer demand and achieve business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Planning Manager with overall Brand strategy and execution through rigorous pre-season & in-season sales and inventory management
  • Analyze market trends and evaluate historical sales data to inform forecasts and optimize plans for new product launches
  • Utilize both bottoms-up and tops-down approaches to predict future sales demand
  • Continuously monitor actual sales data and evaluate forecasts as needed to improve accuracy
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional teams and cross-channel teams
  • Work closely with Brand Management to understand product strategies, marketing campaigns, and product launches
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain teams to proactively communicate forecast changes and their impact on inventory availability
  • Prepare and distribute reports to cross-functional teams, providing insights into business performance, forecast accuracy, and key decision-making data
  • Maintain all essential regional planning tools and files that support the global planning process
  • Attend meetings with various departments to share insights and coordinate activities
  • Supports Planning Manager in department activities & meeting preparation
  • Additional projects and ad hoc requests as needed

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3+ years planning experience; wholesale experience a plus
  • BA, BS or equivalent experience preferred
  • Understanding of retail math (Comp., Margin, etc.) and how to influence metrics
  • Proficiency with MS Office, with advanced Excel skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, often-changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with cross functional teams
  • Flexible with team-player mindset
  • Availability to attend conference calls with international markets (early mornings/later evenings) when needed
