Job Title: Tool and Parts Attendant

Location: FRCASE NAS North Island/Naval Base Coronado, CA

Task Description:
TOOLS AND PARTS ATTENDANT, BLS 53-7065, SCA 21210

Function: The Tools and Parts Attendant receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices.

Required experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience and specific knowledge of tools and parts; Familiarity with wide range of tools and equipment associated with support of tracked and wheeled vehicle maintenance effort; Basic knowledge of generally accepted warehousing concepts such as storage layout, locator systems, and proper material handling procedures. Must have or be able to obtain licenses/certifications as needed to perform duties; Must have a valid and current state driver's license; Must be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle; Must possess basic computer skills; Ability to work in a team environment.

Required education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Compensation

$25.49/hour

Other Compensation

Employees will receive a health and welfare fringe benefit of $7.75 for every hour paid up to 80 hours per pay period.

Employees are offered medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in KAI's 401k plan. Employees accrue bi-weekly from the first week of service 5.54 hours of PTO. KAI employees at NAS North Island/Naval Base Coronado, CA will have 11 paid holidays.

Employment is contingent on (a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and (d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
