Responsibilities
- Carry out occupational therapy treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve residents' daily living skills, mobility, strength, coordination, and functional independence.
- Accurately document treatment sessions, resident progress, and outcomes.
- Communicate resident status and treatment updates with the therapy team and interdisciplinary staff.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
- Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education as directed.
- Current California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current CPR certification preferred.
- Skilled nursing facility (SNF), post-acute, or rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
