Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting for a Senior Platform Marketing Manager for the MONARCH Platform, a robotic-assisted platform for bronchoscopy. This position is located in Santa Clara, CA.

The Senior Platform Marketing Manager will be responsible for shaping the future of the MONARCH Platform by driving strategic initiatives, uncovering market opportunities, and delivering innovative solutions. This role requires expertise in market research and analysis, product definition and strategy, as well as product launch and management to ensure sustained growth. It combines strategy, innovation, and leadership to make a significant impact.

Reporting directly to the MONARCH Strategy & Marketing Director, the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the MedTech industry, particularly in capital equipment. They will also possess a proven track record in upstream marketing, developing and implementing strategies that drive product adoption, revenue growth, and market positioning through compelling messaging, effective go-to-market plans, and cross-functional collaboration.

Major Duties and Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:

Market Research, Analysis & Insights

  • Develop a deep understanding of the market landscape, competitive offerings, and opportunities for growth by working closely with competitive intelligence and strategic insights teams.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Product Development & Planning

  • Act as the platform marketing lead for product development, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create target product profiles, value propositions, prioritize initiatives, and advance projects through the pipeline.
  • Contribute to the long-term strategic planning of the product portfolio by identifying opportunities, enhancements, or expansions based on market insights and technological advancements.

Platform Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the development and execution of platform marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Define market segments, develop positioning, and create compelling messaging to establish a foundation for effective communication plans.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with industry regulations and standards, particularly in a highly regulated environment like healthcare.

Go-to-Market Strategy & Implementation

  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to successfully lead launch excellence efforts for robotic and navigation products.
  • Develop global pricing guidelines, evidence generation plans, and collateral for the core product launch kit to ensure successful product introduction and market penetration.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Alignment

  • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams, including R& D, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Clinical, Medical, Labeling/Packaging, and Business Development, to align the product roadmap and development with marketing needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between teams to ensure a cohesive approach to platform marketing.

KOL Engagement

  • Establish strong relationships with key customers, healthcare professionals, and industry stakeholders to gain insights and feedback on product performance and market needs. Organize and participate in select conferences and customer events.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required for this role is required
  • An MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred to provide a strong foundation in business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • A minimum of 8+ years of progressive business experience in roles that demonstrate increasing responsibility and expertise in relevant areas, such as marketing, sales, strategy, or product development is required.
  • Prior Marketing experience in the medical device industry is required.
  • Previous experience with healthcare/medical capital equipment marketing is required.
  • Prior experience with or expertise in navigation and/or robotics technologies is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of lung cancer diagnosis and treatment, particularly in bronchoscopy, is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Urology or Endo-Urology treatments, particularly in ureteroscopy, is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated success in new product development, as well as in downstream marketing, brand management, and customer-facing roles is required.
  • Proven experience in launch excellence marketing, including planning, execution, and driving successful product launches is highly preferable.
  • Experience in a product development environment is preferred.
  • A proven ability to define market landscapes, product solutions, and target users and translate customer needs and feedback into actionable insights for stakeholders, including engineering and marketing teams is desired.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and synthesize insights into actionable strategies is required.
  • Proven ability to develop, lead, and nurture strong customer relationships, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering long-term partnerships is required.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving expertise with a demonstrated ability to achieve business results by influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct authority. A high degree of intellectual curiosity and learning agility, enabling swift adaptation to evolving business landscapes and new challenges is required.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with a track record of presenting ideas clearly, persuasively, and effectively to diverse audiences.
