Position Overview
The Principal Planner will play a pivotal role within the Supply Chain team, responsible for overseeing and optimizing end-to-end supply planning activities across various functional areas. This role encompasses manufacturing capacity planning, new production introduction (NPI), site transfers, demand and supply alignment, and continuous process improvement. The Principal Planner will work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, finance, R& D, regulatory and logistics teams to ensure service levels, inventory targets, and cost objectives goals are achieved in alignment with business goals.
Essential Job Functions
Capacity Planning
Develop and maintain complex manufacturing capacity models to support both short- and long-term business growth, incorporating production lines, labor, equipment, training, and logistics needs.
Collaborate with operation, engineering, operation excellence and finance to align capacity planning inputs such as efficiency, yield, touch times, labor availability.
Conduct scenario analysis to assess the impact on capacity utilization, labor costs, service performance, inventory levels; communicate recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
Partner with global demand and supply planners and production teams align capacity and production plans with demand forecasts and inventory targets.
Leverage advanced analytical tools to evaluate data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
New Product Introduction (NPI) Planning
Coordinate with demand, supply, and production planners to develop supply plans and build schedules that support NPI launches.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams - R& D, regulatory, PMO, marketing, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics – to ensure smooth execution of NPI projects.
Oversee planning and procurement teams to ensure accurate master data setup in the planning systems to support seamless post-launch supply continuity.
Lead and support the transfer of production from NPI pilot sites to high-volume manufacturing sites.
Define KPI, establish checklists, and standardize milestones to drive consistency and efficiency in the NPI planning process.
Participating in S& OP process to ensure strategic alignment.
Process Improvement and Operational Excellence
Lead or contribute to cross-functional supply chain improvement initiatives focused on enhancing service, reducing cost, and driving innovation.
Continuously enhance, streamline, and automate planning processes through structured, data-driven methodologies.
Act as a change agent by identifying opportunities for system and process upgrades that increase agility and responsiveness.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain planning or related functions. Proven experience in end-to-end supply chain planning.
Manufacturing plant experience preferred.
APICS certification is highly preferred.
Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement certifications a plus
Proficiency with Advanced Planning System required.
Strong knowledge of quality system requirements and regulatory compliance (e.g., traceability, QSRs, ISO, MDD requirements) and other applicable regulations.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences. Proven ability to work independently while thriving in collaborative, cross-functional team environments.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible, adaptable, and capable of responding to changing business demands with agility.

Additional Information:
The anticipated base pay for this position is $105, 000-$169, 050 annually.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
