Purpose:
At Johnson & Johnson MedTech we are passionate about redefining medical interventions. By combining advancements in medical robotics, instrumentation, navigation, and data science, we are building intelligent platforms capable of growing the applicability of robotics to a new spectrum of medical procedures. We are seeking a hardworking individual for a Data Scientist position within the Algorithms & AI team. You will work closely with other Data Scientists, System and Data Engineers, AI Research Scientists, and Product teams to develop data science and data analytics solutions for robotic-assisted flexible endoscopy procedures. This will be a great opportunity to develop your skills in solving complex challenges and contribute to technology development and innovative digital solutions for next generation robotic platforms!
You will be responsible for:
The design and development of metrics, algorithms, and infrastructure for analysis of system and algorithm performance.
Analysis and evaluation of navigation and localization algorithms with multi-modal datasets.
Developing innovative algorithmic solutions, data analytics, and machine learning pipelines for classification of procedure performance.
Improving performance and robustness of existing data analysis frameworks and algorithms.
Integrating and deploying new algorithms and metrics into data pipelines for large datasets.
Working in a multi-functional setting with other Data Scientists, Data Analysts, System and Data Engineers, Product Management, and customer-facing teams to transfer solutions into MONARCH™ digital products and data pipelines.
Qualifications / Requirements:
2-4 years experience and proven track record in exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, statistical and/or ML model development and training, and model validation. Candidates with a degree in engineering, robotics, computer science or similar fields preferred.
Familiarity with time series, signal processing, and statistical models for data analysis.
Experience in deploying statistical and ML models into real-world cloud applications using MLOps methodologies.
Proficiency in Python and SQL.
Comfortable working with multi-functional teams and strong interpersonal skills.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with data access and visualization tools (e.g. Databricks).
Hands-on experience with docker containers and cloud infrastructure.
Understanding of state-of-the-art localization, navigation, and computer-assisted intervention algorithms.
Experience working with multi-modal datasets.
Experience with medical robotic systems.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $103, 000 to $165, 600.Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.
