Highland Palms Healthcare Center is seeking a caring, attentive, and dependable Patient Sitter to join our team on a part-time, on-call basis. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about helping others and providing comfort, companionship, and support to residents in a healthcare setting.

As a Patient Sitter, you play an important role in ensuring resident safety, providing observation and emotional support, and helping create a calm, positive environment for those in our care. Your presence can make all the difference in a resident's day.
What You'll Do

• Provide continuous observation and supervision for assigned residents
• Promote a safe and secure environment by monitoring resident activity and reporting concerns promptly
• Offer companionship, reassurance, and emotional support
• Assist residents with non-clinical needs while maintaining dignity and respect
• Communicate resident concerns, changes in behavior, or safety issues to nursing staff immediately
• Help prevent falls and maintain resident safety at all times
• Maintain accurate documentation as required
• Support nursing and interdisciplinary teams in delivering exceptional resident care
• Follow all facility policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards

What We're Looking For

• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

• Ability to remain attentive and engaged throughout assigned shifts
• Dependable, professional, and team-oriented attitude
• Previous healthcare, caregiving, customer service, or patient care experience preferred but not required
• Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations
