General Purpose
The primary purpose of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position is to provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents in accordance with each resident's assessment and care plan, and as directed by nursing supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide routine daily care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Report all changes in resident condition to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse promptly
- Accurately document care provided on flow sheets, charts, and electronic medical records
- Measure and record vital signs (TPRs) as assigned
- Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Ensure residents' comfort, safety, and dignity at all times
- Answer call lights promptly and respond to resident needs
- Assist with restorative and rehabilitative care as directed
- Maintain a clean, calm, and safe resident environment
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other departments
- Participate in shift reports and communicate effectively with the care team
- Perform other duties as assigned
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Current, active California CNA certification
- BLS/CPR certification preferred
