The People + Culture team (Human Resources) has an extraordinary opportunity for an Equal Employment Opportunity Officer to join our team. In this critical role, you are responsible for leading and administering the Bank’s Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program to support an inclusive and respectful work culture. You will ensure that all employee complaints of discrimination in violation of the EEO policy are promptly and thoroughly investigated. You will analyze multiple sets of related data, communicate insights, and provide recommended solutions to support greater Business Group and organizational effectiveness. You will provide coaching, counseling and training to employees, people managers and leaders on EEO as well as Inclusion and Diversity issues.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Leads EEO program including the investigation and resolution of complaints. Includes conducting investigations, preparation of report of findings and recommended actions as well as close-out conversations as appropriate
  • Develops and conducts and/or administer discrimination and harassment prevention training (in-person and virtually). Includes Bankwide Workplace Harassment training, and ongoing training for both management and employees to increase awareness and understanding of Bank’s policies, processes and behavior expectations to support an inclusive and respectful workplace culture.
  • Represents Bank to enforcement agencies and community organizations and serve as principal advisor to Bank leadership for EEO practices and issues
  • Provides subject matter knowledge and partners with Bank’s Inclusion + Diversity team to help design, implement and manage programs and initiatives that advances the Bank’s Inclusion and Diversity strategy
  • Supports and manage efforts with cross-functional teams to review and enhance current policies, practices, and behaviors to promote inclusive, productive work environments
  • Supports the Bank’s Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) related efforts
  • Analyzes multiple set of related data (i.e. EEO and Employee Relations cases, exit survey and exit interview notes, Inclusion + Diversity, organizational survey data, etc.), communicates insights and provides recommended solutions to support greater Business Group and organizational effectiveness.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Acts as principal advisor who consults and partners with P+C colleagues and business units to identify and address opportunities specific to their groups. Requires communication with leadership
  • Partners closely with colleagues in Legal as well as People + Culture colleagues within People Success, Total Rewards, Leave Management, and I+D teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or Employment Law. Masters or Juris Doctor preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically requires fifteen years or more of relevant work experience in related field
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of Equal Employment Opportunity
  • Experience leading and directing EEO investigations, authoring reports and communicating findings
  • Encouraging leader and expert in the EEO and employment law fields
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to include demonstrated ability to communicate sophisticated issues succinctly; build and conduct effective reports and presentations; experience building strong client relationships while exercising influence, facilitation and negotiating skills to achieve desired results. Experience with design and/or implementation of Inclusion + Diversity and/or Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) related efforts
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the 12th District (up to 35%)

Base Salary Range: Min: $189, 000 - Mid: $249, 900 - Max: $307, 000 (Location: San Francisco, CA and Los Angeles, CA)

Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.
