Senior Project Engineer
Environmental Resources Management, Inc.
Irvine, CA
ERM is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Irvine, CA. This is an excellent career opportunity to conduct air quality analysis to identify, abate, or eliminate pollutant sources and hazards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess regulatory compliance;
- Perform regulatory applicability evaluations by collecting, synthesizing, and analyzing environmental data collected, and recommend actions;
- Develop complete and accurate air quality permits for Title V, PSD and New Source Review compliance, and interact with governmental agencies and local regulators to steward permit application review and issuance;
- Prepare emission inventory reports;
- Quantify air pollutant emissions and impacts;
- Evaluate air pollution control technologies, including technical and budgetary feasibility of air pollution control equipment;
- Implement climate change projects, such as greenhouse gas inventories, emission reductions, energy efficiency, public disclosure and verification;
- Implement and manage environmental compliance programs and processes;
- Perform environmental compliance audits;
- Implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations;
- Perform marketing activities, including preparation of proposals; and
- Assist with environmental project management as needed.
- 100% remote work allowed in California.
- Unanticipated travel required to local client sites required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field;
- 2 years of experience as an Environmental Consultant/Engineer/Specialist or a related occupation;
- Experience conducting air quality analyses, assessing regulatory compliance, and performing regulatory applicability evaluations;
- Experience developing air quality permits for multiple California air districts;
- Experience with Title V permitting;
- Experience implementing climate change projects, such as greenhouse gas inventories, emission reductions, energy efficiency, public disclosure and verification;
- Experience conducting environmental compliance audits and implementing follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; and
- Experience reviewing environmental and air quality regulations and creating written summaries and developing compliance resources guides.
Base Annual Salary: $115, 573.68
