If you are a Lifecycle Services professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has a great opportunity for you! As the Maintenance Services Manager, you'll be based in our San Diego, CA office, leading a team of engineers focused on delivering distributed control and SCADA system services to one of Emerson's largest customers in the San Diego metropolitan area.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead the engineering support activities for wastewater facilities that have Emerson Distributed Control Systems and SCADA Systems.
  • Interface effectively with key customer personnel, building positive relationships and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through outstanding performance.
  • Actively work as part of a team, providing local customer with system problem resolutions, field services, maintenance programs, system startup coverage, system upgrades, in support of proper operation of customers' systems.
  • Conduct site investigation and make recommendations for system designs and upgrades.
  • Provide summary data and information reports for a variety of software products, instruments, and equipment.
  • Create and submit required activity and billing reports to customer representatives.
  • Perform monthly project cost reviews and implement procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Manage subcontracts with engineering firms, responsible for financial tracking and delivery of site services.
  • Support the financial, efficiency, and quality objectives for the team, customer satisfaction, and high-quality support service.
  • Supervise and coordinate personnel, equipment, and financial resources to enhance and expand business relationships.
  • Assess employee skills and performance. Teach, mentor, and train employees to improve performance and develop toward their career goals. Cultivate a psychologically safe and fulfilling work environment to allow employees to thrive and reach their full potential.
Who You Are:
You understand the importance and interdependence of internal customer relationships. Show a tremendous amount of initiative in tough situations and are outstanding at spotting and seizing opportunities and acquire data from multiple and diverse sources when solving problems.
For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 7 years' related experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • OV400 certification and prior Ovation system experience is preferred
  • Experience with PLC, DCS, and/or SCADA
  • PE (Professional Engineer) or PMP is a plus
  • Past experience working in the water/wastewater industry
  • Past experience as a site manager or project manager
  • Past demonstrated leadership

COMPENSATION

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $130, 000-150, 000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
