Elite Medical Health & Wellness is hiring a Temporary Medical Assistant - Bilingual (English/Spanish) in Santa Maria, CA. This is a full-time position.

Elite is seeking a skilled and adaptable bilingual Medical Assistant to temporarily join our team on a full-time basis providing crucial support at our Santa Maria clinic. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for offering comprehensive front and back-office assistance to ensure the smooth functioning of our healthcare facilities. Duties/Responsibilities Perform front and back office clinical tasks to support healthcare practitioner. Obtain and record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information. Assist with patient examinations and procedures. Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers. Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment. Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing. Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and self-care techniques. Schedule appointments, manage medical records, and handle forms. This description is intended to provide a general overview of the position. It is not exhaustive or comprehensive. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Requirements Graduate of a Medical Assistant certification program. Must be bilingual English/Spanish (read, write and speak fluently including medical terminology). Proficient in medication administration, capillary and venipuncture. Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Excellent patient care skills, including the ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care. Familiarity with basic life support (BLS) procedures. Strong organizational and attention to detail skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
