We are looking for an experienced
Account Manager to lead sales efforts for
SpectraTurf products across Northern California-covering LA County north through the Oregon border, and east to Nevada. This role focuses heavily on developing business within the
public sector, including
schools, municipalities, architects, parks & recreation, and
general contractors, with a strong emphasis on building long‑term relationships and driving market growth.
If you have a background in playground surfacing, recreational equipment, construction materials, or architect/GC‑driven sales, you'll excel in this role.
What You'll Do - Drive sales growth by building and managing relationships with key end users, architects, designers, GCs, and public agencies.
- Develop new business within schools, city departments, parks & recreation, and other public entities.
- Work collaboratively with Territory Reps and internal teams to execute the SpectraTurf sales strategy.
- Manage the full sales cycle including presentations, bids, quotes, pricing, delivery, installation coordination, and follow‑up.
- Represent SpectraTurf at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
- Provide product knowledge, CEU presentations, and market training to customers and partners.
- Track pipeline activity and reporting using Salesforce, spreadsheets, and internal systems (Epicor).
- Maintain deep understanding of territory dynamics: prevailing wage vs. private work, union requirements, PLA regulations, and public bid processes.
- Build and maintain a strong book of business while expanding regional market penetration.
What You Bring - 5+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in flooring, construction materials, recreational equipment, site furnishings, or architect/GC‑focused sales.
- Proven experience managing a territory‑based book of business.
- Demonstrated success selling to schools, cities, architects, and parks departments.
- Strong presentation skills, including CEU‑style architect presentations.
- High drive, organization, and ability to independently manage travel and scheduling.
- Experience working with equipment companies, GCs, and public agencies.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, spreadsheets, and CRM/reporting tools (Epicor is a plus).
- Ability to build strong relationships, drive projects, and navigate complex sales environments.
Preferred Experience(Not required, but highly valuable)
- Experience in the recreation or playground industry (e.g., LSI, PlayPower).
- Background selling playground equipment, site furnishings, surfacing, or related outdoor recreation products.
- Strong architectural network within the recreational or public construction space.
