Key Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist, you will:

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence and functional recovery
• Provide evidence-based interventions focused on activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, safety, and quality of life
• Supervise and mentor Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation professionals, and interdisciplinary team members to achieve optimal outcomes
• Participate in care planning meetings, utilization reviews, and discharge planning discussions
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Educate residents, caregivers, and family members on treatment strategies, home safety, and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Support successful transitions home through comprehensive caregiver training and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Current and active California Occupational Therapist (OT) license
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, resident-centered care
