Key Responsibilities: - Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and per the physician's treatment plan.
- Document evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, and recertification documentation in compliance with the OT Board State Practice Act and payer requirements.
- Train restorative aides to ensure continuity of care.
- Communicate patient progress, problems, and plans with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Educate patients, families, and nursing staff on maintenance programs and caregiving techniques for discharge planning.
- Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area and departmental equipment.
- Relate positively and effectively with patients, families, and professional colleagues.
Qualifications: - Valid Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in the state of California.
