Key Responsibilities:
  • Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and per the physician's treatment plan.
  • Document evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, and recertification documentation in compliance with the OT Board State Practice Act and payer requirements.
  • Train restorative aides to ensure continuity of care.
  • Communicate patient progress, problems, and plans with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Educate patients, families, and nursing staff on maintenance programs and caregiving techniques for discharge planning.
  • Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area and departmental equipment.
  • Relate positively and effectively with patients, families, and professional colleagues.


Qualifications:
  • Valid Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in the state of California.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply.
