Position: Full-Time Laundry Aide
Location: Diablo Valley Post Acute
Shift: PM Shift, 7: 00 AM - 3: 30 PM
Pay: $19 per hour

General Purpose:
As a Laundry Aide at Diablo Valley Post Acute, you will perform a variety of general laundry and housekeeping duties to provide high-quality laundry services and maintain a sanitary environment free from offensive odors for our nursing home residents.

Essential Duties:

• Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available for the care and comfort of all residents.
• Maintain all linen in good repair, removing any items with holes and/or stains from service.
• Collect laundry from residents on a daily basis or as needed.
• Label clothing items for new residents as required.
• Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to residents' rooms.
• Follow all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties.
• Maintain an inventory of laundry supplies.
• Use all laundry equipment and supplies safely and responsibly.
• Report any laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience in a healthcare or similar setting is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation.
