Infection Prevention Nurse (IP Nurse)

Position Summary:
Del Rosa Villa Post Acute is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Infection Prevention Nurse to lead and oversee our infection prevention and control program. This role is critical in ensuring the safety of our residents, staff, and visitors by maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while promoting best practices in infection control.
Pay:
$30-35 per hour, DOE

Position Summary:
Del Rosa Villa Post Acute is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Infection Prevention Nurse to lead and oversee our infection prevention and control program. This role is critical in ensuring the safety of our residents, staff, and visitors by maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while promoting best practices in infection control.
Pay:
$30-35 per hour, DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, implement, and oversee the facility's infection prevention and control program
- Ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, CMS, and state guidelines related to infection control
- Conduct ongoing infection surveillance, data collection, and trend analysis
- Investigate infection outbreaks and implement corrective action plans
- Educate and train staff on infection prevention protocols, standard precautions, and PPE usage
- Monitor antibiotic stewardship programs and report findings to leadership
- Collaborate with nursing, environmental services, and leadership teams to ensure infection control standards are maintained
- Maintain required logs, reports, and documentation for regulatory compliance
- Participate in QAPI initiatives and regulatory surveys as needed
- Active California RN or LVN license (RN preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility, hospital, or healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices, epidemiology, and aseptic techniques
- Experience with surveillance, reporting, and regulatory compliance preferred
- Infection Prevention Certification (CIC) preferred but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
