CURRY SENIOR CENTER is hiring a Development Assistant in San Francisco, CA. This is a full-time position.
JOB SUMMARY: This role supports to fundraising efforts of the organization between September and January of the calendar year. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with the registration process and assist with registration(s). Assist with set up and clen up of events. Confirm supplies for events. Assist with organization of events. Coordinate and travel for pick-ups and drop offs. Assist with donation organization. Assist with entering information into on-line donation database. Upload requests into appropriate data capture tool(s). Track gifts and disperse appropriately. Perform other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1-2 years administrative experience. 1-2 years non-profit experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable with computer operations, databases and data entry tools. Strong attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidential information. Willingness to work in settings that serve low-income, and unhoused individuals. SCHEDULE: Part-time, Hourly, Temporary. This is a temporary, part-time position. 18 hours per week, schedule to be determined by needs of the Development Department. Must be available Friday, September 25th, 4pm 10pm for Fall Fundraiser KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES: Documented data entry experience. Effective oral and written communications skills with the ability to express ideas in a clear, thorough, concise manner. Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Solid aptitude for customer service. High degree of skill in grammar, spelling and punctuation. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all information obtained. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workflow. High level of analytical problem-solving skills. Excellent time management skills, including the ability to manage self-development. Must be action-oriented and have the ability to work independently and as a team player. Strong computer skills such as Chrome, Google suite, Apple iOS, Office suite. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/DEMANDS: The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which they are free to move about at will. The Environment is mostly clean and comfortable but may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc. Work will be performed utilizing a computer, sitting at a desk/chair or standing while speaking and interacting with clients. Position will require average finger dexterity to operate normal office equipment and systems.
