Description:
The County of Riverside's Human Resources Temporary Assignment Program (TAP) seeks Temporary Elections Assistants to support the Registrar of Voters' upcoming June 2025 Riverside County Special Election.
Schedule: 8: 00am - 5: 00pm Monday - Friday, including weekends, and holidays with mandatory overtime as needed.

- DATA ENTRY/PHONES: Primary duties will include registration card entry, vote-by-mail verification, answering phones, and proofing candidate statements and ballot information to ensure translation is correct from English to: Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese Mandarin, Chinese Cantonese, or Tagalog.
- Strong customer service skills are required.
- Strong bilingual reading, writing, proofing, and speaking ability skills are required.
- Candidates must be proficient in their respective language and proficient in English, speaking and writing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSExperience: Customer service experience that involved meeting the public, obtaining and recording factual information, or explaining rules, regulations, policies/procedures,
AND must be bilingual in one of the following languages:
KoreanVietnameseChinese MandarinChinese CantoneseTagalog Knowledge: Perform routine clerical work; learn office practices, procedures and equipment; make simple arithmetic calculations; understand and follow written and oral instructions; establish and maintain cooperative relations with the public.
Ability to: Perform general clerical work; Understand and follow both written and oral instructions as well as established policies and procedures; Perform non-sedentary duties; Regularly lift over 25 pounds; Work in a fast-paced environment
License/Certificate: Possession of a valid California Driver's License may be required.Testing Requirements:
Bilingual Proficiency: Candidates whose applications indicate bilingual proficiency in one of the following languages: Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese Mandarin, Chinese Cantonese, or Tagalog will be required to verify their bilingual skills in a proctored test environment.
PLEASE NOTE: Appointees will be required to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays with mandatory overtime as needed.
