Description:

The Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator, under the supervision of the Trauma Program Manager (TPM), provides coordination and facilitation of performance improvement data collection, analysis, trending and benchmarking of data and outcomes. The Trauma PI Coordinator will collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, consultants and multi-disciplinary trauma team members to assure quality patient outcomes across the continuum of care as well as collaborates closely with Trauma Program leadership to assure compliance with Trauma standards and guidelines.

Education
  • Minimum: AA Degree in Nursing
  • Preferred: BSN

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
  • Current Registered Nurse in California
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC) certified.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Preferred: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) certified.

Technical Requirements
  • Minimum: Clinical expertise in the practice of trauma nursing.

Years of Related Work Experience
  • Minimum: 2 years of experience in trauma nursing, including experience in quality assurance
  • Preferred: 5 years of experience in trauma nursing, teaching, and quality assurance
