PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Concord Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN (as needed) Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. We offer competitive pay and the flexibility of working on an as-needed basis in a supportive environment.

Rate: Starting at $50 per hour.

About the Role:

Under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PRN Physical Therapist Assistant will assist with patient-related activities and provide direct patient care. This role is crucial in helping our residents regain mobility, manage pain, and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Administer physical therapy treatments and procedures as directed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Document daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, and other required records accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with state regulations.
  • Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of the therapy department and equipment.
  • Participate in patient care and rehabilitation conferences as needed.
  • Train restorative aides in the nursing department as instructed.
  • Communicate effectively with the Physical Therapist, supervisor, and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress, concerns, and treatment plans.
  • Educate patients, their families, and nursing staff on at-home maintenance programs and caregiver training in preparation for discharge.
  • Report any issues with departmental equipment to ensure it remains in good working order.
  • Maintain a positive, effective, and professional rapport with patients, residents, families, and colleagues.


Qualifications:
  • Active and current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of California.
