We are seeking a motivated DSP Engineer Intern to join our team for Summer 2026. In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers to design, analyze, and implement algorithms for optical communications.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities- Assists in the development and simulation of DSP algorithms
- Document designs and design tradeoffs; communicate design specifications with team
- Test and verify functionality of algorithms
Education & Experience- Strong background knowledge in linear algebra, FFT/IFFTs, transfer functions, probability, and statistics
- Programming skills - Python, C/C++, Matlab
- Knowledge of optical systems: lasers, DACs/ADCs, control loops, amplifiers, digital/analog filters
- MS or PhD student working toward a degree in electrical engineering
Skills & Other Requirements- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed
- Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and time management
Working Conditions- This role will be based on-site in Santa Clara, California.
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.
Physical Requirements- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
