Description:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Identify opportunities where the technologies you are studying can be better integrated into product development, manufacturing processes, or customer solutions.

  • Survey and document existing corporate technologies, tools, data systems, and engineering capabilities used across the organization.


  • Explore how AI, data analytics, or machine learning approaches could be applied to engineering, reliability, or operational data to generate insights that support customer satisfaction and product improvement.


  • Research industry best practices for technology integration, AI-enabled engineering workflows, and customer-centric innovation in semiconductor and photonics industries.


  • Analyze how current technologies contribute to customer satisfaction, product performance, reliability, and service efficiency.


Propose and execute process improvements, integration strategies, or pilot initiatives that leverage existing technologies and AI tools more effectively.

  • Work with cross-functional teams including engineering, reliability, manufacturing, quality, product management, and applications engineering.


  • Evaluate gaps between internal technical capabilities, available data, and customer needs or expectations.


  • Develop documentation and frameworks that help teams translate technical capabilities and data insights into measurable customer value.

    Present findings and recommendations for technical leadership.


Education & Experience

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.


  • Preferred class standing: Rising Junior or Rising Senior or pursuing Master's degree


  • Relevant coursework or extracurricular experience in software testing, web applications, databases, or Salesforce is a plus.


  • Experience with data analysis, Python, AI/ML tools, or engineering analytics platforms is a plus


Skills

  • Interest in technology strategy, data analytics, AI applications, and customer-focused innovation


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


  • Ability to synthesize technical information across multiple domains


  • Strong communication and presentation skills


Additional Information

  • Internship Duration: 10 - 14 weeks.

Working Conditions

  • This role will be based on-site in Santa Clara, CA.


  • Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.


  • Participation in team meetings and cross-functional collaboration is expected.


Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings.


  • Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.


  • Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.


  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
