We are currently seeking a
caring and compassionate PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team.
Position SummaryThe Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role supports the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services focused on improving functional mobility, strength, and independence for our residents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Treat patients as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Implement treatment plans to restore and maintain functional mobility
- Document daily treatment notes and progress in accordance with state and facility standards
- Communicate patient progress, concerns, and outcomes with the rehab and interdisciplinary team
- Participate in care conferences as needed
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized therapy department
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises, mobility, and discharge planning
- Comply with all federal, state, and facility regulations and policies
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Active California PTA license in good standing
- Current BLS certification
- Demonstrated clinical competence and sound judgment
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills with residents, families, and staff
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Skilled nursing or geriatric experience preferred
