Director of Staff Development (DSD) to lead our education and training efforts. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), the DSD plays a vital role in ensuring our staff are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and support needed to deliver the highest quality care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and oversee all staff education and in-service training programs
- Coordinate new employee orientation and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements
- Maintain accurate records of employee education, certifications, and training hours
- Evaluate staff competency and provide ongoing education to support professional development
- Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and implement solutions
- Ensure infection prevention and safety protocols are included in training programs
- Promote a culture of learning, teamwork, and excellence in resident care
Qualifications: - Current and valid LVN license in the State of California
- Must hold Director of Staff Development certification (or ability to obtain)
- Previous experience in staff development, education, or training in a healthcare/SNF setting preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lead with professionalism, compassion, and enthusiasm
