πŸ’Ό Position Summary:

The Therapy Technician supports the rehabilitation department by assisting with treatment setup, preparing equipment, and facilitating care delivery under the direct supervision of licensed physical and occupational therapists. This role contributes to the smooth operation and professional image of the department while ensuring patient safety, proper documentation, and a positive therapy experience.
πŸ› οΈ Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with preparation and setup for physical and occupational therapy treatments
  • Support patients during therapy sessions by transporting, transferring, or positioning as directed
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of the therapy area and equipment at all times
  • Coordinate with therapists to help manage daily treatment schedules
  • Communicate professionally with facility staff and healthcare team members
  • Prepare therapy equipment and ensure adequate supply levels
  • Accurately complete logs, billing documentation, and patient forms
  • Ensure timely submission of documentation to the billing office
  • Attend staff meetings, in-service trainings, and educational sessions as required
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Follow all safety protocols including infection control procedures and proper use of gait belts or assistive equipment
  • Participate in community wellness, exercise, and educational programs as directed
  • Represent the rehab team in a professional, friendly, and cooperative manner

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Prior experience in a rehab or healthcare setting preferred, but not required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient-centered attitude
  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with therapy and nursing staff
  • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented with a focus on safety and quality of care
