Position Summary

The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment throughout the facility. This position helps ensure resident rooms, common areas, and workspaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Essential Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces throughout the facility
• Clean lobbies, hallways, restrooms, drinking fountains, and other public areas
• Wipe down handrails, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, wall surfaces, and dispensers
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed
• Follow infection control procedures and facility safety guidelines
• Properly use and maintain housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies
• Keep housekeeping carts, storage areas, and equipment clean and organized
• Place caution signs when appropriate and safely store cleaning chemicals
• Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies are running low
• Report resident safety concerns immediately to the appropriate supervisor
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and team members

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, hospitality, or long-term care settings is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, professional, and customer-service oriented
