Description:
Shift: Monday-Friday (9am-5pm)- Oversee all food preparation and service to ensure meals are safe, appetizing, and meet dietary needs based on physicians' orders and approved menus.
- Supervise and manage dietary staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, disciplining, and terminating employees when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding food handling, storage, sanitation, and dietary operations.
- Coordinate dietary services with nursing staff and other departments to meet residents' nutritional needs and preferences.
- Maintain budgetary guidelines, monitor food and supply costs, and plan for holiday and special event meals.
- Conduct resident nutritional assessments, record food preferences, and complete monthly nutritional notes for those at risk.
- Inspect the kitchen and food storage areas regularly to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment.
- Participate in quality assurance (QA) and interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings, and document menu changes while keeping diet cards updated.
- Prepare and transmit food supply orders, ensuring inventory aligns with facility needs and dietary requirements.
- Meet physical demands of the role, including frequent standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and maintaining sensory awareness (sight, taste, smell) essential for food safety and quality.
Salary Pay Range: $65, 000-$70, 000
