Senior SEC Reporting Manager
Senior SEC Reporting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior SEC Reporting Manager to lead all aspects of external financial reporting and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for the preparation and integrity of SEC filings, technical accounting, equity and stock-based compensation accounting, SOX compliance, and cross-functional coordination with auditors, legal counsel, FP& A, and executive leadership.

The ideal candidate brings deep public-company reporting experience, strong technical expertise, and the ability to operate hands-on in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

External Reporting & Filings
  • Lead preparation and filing of all SEC reports, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, and annual reports
  • Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements, including footnotes, EPS calculations, equity rollforwards, and non-GAAP/aEBITDA disclosures
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of XBRL tagging and SEC filings
  • Monitor emerging SEC regulations and disclosure requirements and assess impact


Technical Accounting & Equity
  • Manage all aspects of stock-based compensation accounting, including equity reconciliations, PSU tracking, and related audit and tax support
  • Prepare and review capitalized software accounting, including R& D labor deferrals and related journal entries
  • Conduct technical accounting research and prepare position memos (approximately 4-6 per quarter)
  • Evaluate investments, equity transactions, and complex financial activities for accounting and disclosure implications


Audit, Governance & Controls
  • Lead quarterly review and annual audit processes in coordination with external auditors
  • Partner with internal and external legal counsel on proxy filings, disclosures, and corporate governance matters
  • Support domestic and international statutory audits (including UK statutory audit)
  • Lead quarterly Disclosure Committee meetings and prepare materials for Audit Committee and CFO
  • Oversee SOX compliance and internal controls related to SEC reporting and collaborate with external SOX partners

Corporate Finance & Operations
  • Oversee cash-related corporate activities, including stock repurchases, dividends, and related filings
  • Prepare Excise Tax filings and other required corporate filings
  • Partner with FP& A on quarterly results and earnings support
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional accounting and regulatory initiatives

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 and publicly traded company SEC reporting experience
  • Proficiency with Workiva, Equity Edge Online, and XBRL
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and technical accounting standards
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and operate effectively in a hands-on capacity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to executive leadership and audit committees
  • Advanced Excel and financial reporting systems expertise
  • Ability and willingness to "roll up sleeves" and consistently meet tight deadlines

Targeted compensation guideline: $185, 000 - $200, 000. Compensation will vary based on number of factors, including market demand for specific skills, role type, job level, and individual qualifications. Final salary offers are determined by considerations including, but not limited to, subject matter expertise, demonstrated skill level, relevant experience, geographic location, education, certifications, and training.
