Your MissionThis position is accountable for managing Medium/Complex scale Customer Project orders, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget. This includes initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing of customer projects/programs. Under section head supervision this position confirms customer requirements, which includes drawings, specifications, job site support, bill of material alignment with specifications & clarify exceptions. Manages complete job process from offer / order preparation and documents approvals thru manufacturing release, product shipment, and post shipment support.
Your Role - Magic happens when you bring great people together!To excel as a Structural Design Project Engineer, certain key skills and qualifications are essential. Here are some of the most important ones:
- Comprehensive knowledge of steel structure design standards, regulatory codes, guidelines and related laws.
- Strong understanding of structural design analysis principles and techniques.
- A solid understanding of structural engineering process to support project team through tender and execution phases.
- Familiar in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to successfully lead customer projects from initiation to completion.
- Key engineering interface with internal and external project stakeholders.
- Preparing and reviewing project specification and the basic requirements for the design and construction of prefabricated buildings (E-Houses) for electrical equipment.
- Reviewing supplier offer including prequalification, drawing, material selection and validation of structural design.
- 2D/3D of prefabricated building (E-Houses) layout design and optimization.
- E-House installation coordination.
- Discipline coordination and clash studies.
- Can undertake structural inspections (FAT), testing of material and report on construction and material defects and provide guidance for remedial repairs.
- Comprehensive knowledge and ability to use digital tools and related software including CAD tools, MS tools, REVIT, SAP, STAAD or similar tools.
- Bachelor's degree of Structural Engineering with 7-10 years of experience.
- Excellent command of English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Risk management skills.
- High level of awareness and commitment to safety.
- Excellent technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to the clients.
- Excellent knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the civil engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
- Excellent knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications.
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office and civil engineering specific software.
- Ability to work and lead a team of structural engineers / suppliers.
- Extensive technical and practical experience in civil engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
