We are looking for a Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry Kitchen who will support the Pastry Chef in preparing high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods, ensuring consistency and creativity in line with IHG culinary standards.

A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different at IHG, but you’ll mostly be:

• Assisting in the preparation, production, and presentation of pastries, desserts, and baked items.
• Following standardized recipes while also contributing creative ideas to enhance menus.
• Ensuring food quality, taste, and presentation meet brand standards.
• Maintaining hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards within the pastry kitchen.
• Monitoring stock levels, assisting with requisitions, and minimizing waste.
• Supporting training and development of Commis Chefs and kitchen trainees.
• Collaborating with the culinary team for banquets, events, and daily service requirements.
• Handling equipment and utensils properly and ensuring they are well-maintained.

What we need from you:

• Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, with a focus on pastry/bakery.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a pastry role within a 4/5-star hotel or fine-dining establishment.
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation.
• Creativity and passion for pastry and dessert preparation.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
