Role Purpose:

The Senior General Ledger (GL) Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the company's financial records and ensuring all books of accounts are accurate. This role ensures strict adherence to DPDHL finance policies and local statutory regulations while providing critical management information for the decision-making process.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the books of accounts are maintained accurately and in accordance with DHL Group finance policies and local statutory regulations.
• Work closely with DHL Shared Services Center (DSSC) to ensure accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, as well as the timely reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts.
• Support the implementation of financial systems and finance projects to maximize productivity of the finance function.
• Review internal accounting controls identified by the internal and external auditors and ensure the implementation thereof.
• Document and revise work policies and procedures to reflect current work practices.
• Ensure accurate and correct classification of balance sheet and profit and loss accounts for a reliable financial statement.
• Analysis and explanation of budget variances, review and improve internal systems, and calculate ROI /NPV on investments.
• Collaborate with other finance and operational teams to streamline processes and improve reporting efficiency.

Qualifications:

• University Graduate with a specialization in Accounting or Finance.
• Excellent command of English Language.
• CPA, CMA, ACCA, is a plus.
• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years focused on general ledger or financial reporting.
• Audit background is a plus
• Solid knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills
• Familiarity with tax filings submission
