Role overview
As Greif’s as a Risk Management Analyst, you will work very closely with and support Manager Risk Management, Finance and Property Loss Control. This role will start with a predominant focus on Property Loss Control activities including but not limited to the management of the global infrared scanning, coordination of activities and actions between risk, EHS, engineering and operations as related to property loss control and site engineering audits by Greif’s property insurer. In addition, you will help collect and prepare business information needed for insurance submissions as needed by team as well as general risk management support related to certificates of insurance, PO creation and invoice processing a coordination of payments globally.
Main responsibilities
With the oversight of VP, Risk Management and Manager Risk Management, Finance and Property Loss Control will be responsible to coordinate, manage and assess effectiveness of various Property Loss Control Initiatives globally and support any development of training and educational content.
Coordinate property loss control engineering visits between insurers and operations.
Establishing the annual schedule and coordinating the visits for the infrared testing program globally including providing guidance to sites on how to prepare as well as following up on the close out of identified “hot spots”
Support the development of priority list of projects and assisting the engineering teams as requested
Communicate and prioritize the efforts with safety and operations on “human-element” loss control activities to reduce the amount of open low or no cost recommendations from our insurers
Manage and support invoice distribution and payments globally as well as PO establishment in the United States.
Provide certificates of insurance to the business as needed Help gather needed data for annual insurance renewals
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree is required with a focus in in finance or business a plus.
2-3 years in a corporate environment with previous experience managing projects or programs in a global business is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Strong ability in Excel and experience with PowerPoint.
Must be able to handle confidential information and work with all levels within the organization including top management.
Strong negotiating skills and ability to deliver difficult messages in a tense environment.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, large projects, and multiple priorities within established deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Solid computer skills to utilize PC software and client/server software.
Ability to work independently with little supervision but also must be a team player.
Limited travel may be allowed for this role.
