Role Overview

As a Reservations Agent, you will be part of the hotels central communications hub, acting as the first point of contact for all guest phone and digital enquiries. You’ll play a key role in coordinating seamless service across the property—handling everything from room and restaurant bookings to guest requests and general enquiries. Your detailed knowledge of the resort and commitment to exceptional service will ensure every guest interaction contributes to a memorable stay.This position reports to the reservations manager and works closely with the wider Front Office team.

This is a full-time position with a minimum guaranteed hours of 40 per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage guest reservations, availability, rate enquiries, and booking amendments while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Handle all guest communication channels, assisting with general enquiries, special requests, restaurant bookings, amenity requests, and other service needs.
• Complete reservation-related tasks in Opera (cloud experience preferred but not essential), including check ins and check outs via telephone when required.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate guest profiles, including preferences, notes, and complaint records.
• Manage group bookings, FIT reservations, waitlists, and no shows efficiently.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure effective communication of guest needs, special requirements, and operational updates.

Who We Are Looking For

• Experience in reservations or front office, ideally within a hotel or resort environment. (Preferred)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with guests.
• Organised, detail focused, and able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Tech savvy, comfortable using reservation systems and learning property technology. Opera Cloud experience is preferred but not essential.
• A natural problem solver who can turn challenges into positive guest outcomes.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, and public holidays.
