About the Role:

The Manager, Reinsurance Finance, will be responsible for supporting the VP Finance in the day-to-day management of various finance-related tasks, including finance operations, and technical accounting for the Reinsurance Finance department.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Review reinsurance contracts to ensure financial accuracy in the policy administration system.
• Process and assist with the management of proportional treaty accounts; including the review and analysis of loss bordereaux and the coordination of payments to brokers.
• Assist with management of non-proportional treaties; including installment premiums and adjustments.
• Assist with the management and monitoring aged receivables.
• Assist with the monthly closing of the policy administration system.
• Assist with review and analytical analysis of policy administration system output for accuracy and completion.
• Liaise with brokers, underwriting team, claims team and other internal and external stakeholders as required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate on projects with other stakeholders to streamline workflows and enhance automation.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business management, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• A professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or similar) is preferred but not required.
• Minimum 4 to 6 years of functional experience preferred.
• Knowledge of proportional and non-proportional reinsurance structures.
• Experience with underwriting systems - DXC SICS is preferred.
• Financial reporting experience within a strict internal controlled (SOX) environment.
• Proficient in MS Office Word, Outlook, Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment.
• Ability to adapt to evolving processes within a technology-forward environment.
