The Finisar Germany GmbH, a Coherent subsidiary serves multiple businesses within Coherent. Job Description
  • Optical, electrical and high-frequency characterization of detectors, transmitters, lasers and associated assemblies using the latest measuring devices
  • Support in the development and construction of new measurement systems
  • Mechanical work to create tools, adapters, cables
  • Implementation and evaluation of special measurements on optical assemblies and opto-electronic chips made of various material systems, such as InP, silicon
  • Handling of orders of components for test stations and the associated incoming inspection
  • Creation and processing of technical documentation

Qualification
  • Scientific or technical studies
  • Basic knowledge of optics, optoelectronics, communications engineering, high-frequency technology, measurement technology
  • Technical skills and interest in optical communications engineering
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in a team, flexibility and reliability
  • Good knowledge of English
