About the Role
We are looking for a Methods & Manufacturing Manager to lead the continuous optimization of our production processes at our Tijuana facility. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, standardizing manufacturing methods, leading industrial engineering initiatives, and ensuring that productivity, quality, and safety targets are consistently met.

This leader will collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Global/Regional Engineering teams to enable sustainable growth and world-class performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Optimization & Industrial Engineering
  • Lead the design, definition, and implementation of manufacturing methods, workflows, and standards.
  • Develop and optimize line balancing, layout design, time studies, and work instructions.
  • Own the implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks through data analysis and structured problem-solving tools (VSM, DMAIC, PFMEA, etc.).
Leadership & Team Development
  • Manage and develop a team of Methods, IE, and Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Drive a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Partner with Talent Management and HR to build capability and pipeline for key technical roles.
Project & Equipment Management
  • Lead capital investment projects, including equipment specification, justification, and commissioning.
  • Ensure manufacturing readiness for new products, technology transfers, and process changes.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all processes.
  • Collaborate with Quality to reduce defects, improve first-pass yield, and enhance process capability.
Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Production to support day-to-day operations and address technical issues.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to optimize material flow, inventory strategies, and cost-out initiatives.


QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Master's degree is a plus.
Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or methods engineering.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role managing technical teams.
  • Proven success in high-volume manufacturing, preferably in the electronics, automotive, or electromechanical industry.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, ergonomics, tooling, and automation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High proficiency in time studies, process mapping, and industrial engineering tools.
  • Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
  • Bilingual: Spanish/English required.
