What will you do?Schneider Electric Canada has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate/motivated individual to assume the role of Business Development Representative within our Home & Distribution Business focusing on developing Homebuilder accounts and relationships.
This position will ideally be based in Vancouver or Calgary, for a Western Canada scope (British Columbia and Alberta).
You will work in collaboration with the Business Development Director - Home Builder Program and other internal sales and marketing teams to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for their organization. To achieve this, you will also need to find potential new customers, present to them, ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to grow business in the future.
- Develop a rapport with Homebuilders through your existing personal network, industry events, cold calling, advertising or through other means that generate interest from potential clients and provide support that will continually improve the relationship.
- Promote our Connected Living products and solutions to this unique industry segment including; Panels, Breakers, Wiring Devices, Energy Monitoring Systems, Surge Protection, and EV Charger Solutions.
- Identify trends/opportunities through market research, trends, data management and competition analysis.
- Build and execute regional business development plan considering price positioning, forecasting, reporting, product roadmap, campaign development, Channel programs and in alignment to national strategy.
- Look for potential Builder customers and develop a rapport by attending industry events, networking, cold calling, advertising or through other means that generate interest from potential clients
- Establishing and cultivating long-term relationships with key individuals in targeted companies, potential new partners, and key industry leaders and provide support that will continually improve the relationship.
- Work with marketing, sales and technology groups to implement business development strategy into specific initiatives.

- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in business administration or relevant discipline
- 5+ years of experience including in similar sales or business development role
- Must have in-depth knowledge of the Homebuilding industry
- Existing network in the Homebuilding industry (preferred)
- Ability to excel within a cross-functional team environment
- Self-starter with strong multitasking ability, strategic thinking, initiative
- Analytical skills to derive strategy and business decisions
- Ability to travel nationally up to 50% (mainly BC, AB) and sometimes internationally
What's in it for you?The compensation range for this full-time position, which includes base pay and short-term incentive, is $96, 800-$145, 200 for candidates who are B.C. residents. Our salary ranges are determined by including roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
