ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM: The Knot Worldwide is looking for a CRM Director with 10+ years of experience to drive the strategy and execution of marketing automation programs that create meaningful connections, engagement, and build loyalty with our customers. As the Director of CRM for our International brands, you will manage our Couple and Vendor communications across email, push and mobile.
Our International markets include 13 countries, and 13 brands, across 5 languages. We are looking for a truly empathetic, and motivational leader, who believes in innovation, data-driven decisions, and taking on complex challenges.
The right candidate will be passionate about leveraging technology, data, and customer insights to create engaging, automated journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). You'll play a pivotal role in revamping and scaling our lifecycle marketing initiatives, as well as supporting our key marketing stakeholders through our campaign-based activity.
As a key part of our International Marketing Leadership team, you will collaborate cross-functionally with senior stakeholders in Design, Data, Consumer Marketing, Vendor Marketing and other functional areas, to drive customer and commercial goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Engage users and drive value. In partnership with stakeholders, develop and build email and mobile journeys that engage consumers and vendors, driving engagement to increase customer lifetime value. Goals include driving leads to marketplace vendors, creating vendor leads, as well as optimizing the standard email metrics.
- Continuous improvement. Identify new opportunities to improve audience segmentation, content, timing, and frequency. Conduct testing including subject lines, email copy, layouts and CTAs that improve conversion. Manage a structured and documented testing plan to continually improve performance. Guide direct reports on correct test structure and assessment.Proactively addressing stakeholder concerns and identify new opportunities.
- Create a personalized experience. Identify opportunities to create a more personalized experience based on B2B and B2C available data. Use dynamic content (AMPScript) to create personalized email and push messages.
- Collaborate across teams. Collaborate with the internal design team to create visually compelling templates and graphics that support email best practices.
- Reporting. Create performance reports including data from Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and internal databases to analyze campaign performance, provide performance transparency to stakeholders, and drive actionable recommendations.
- Reporting on key performance indicators. Providing regular reports to senior marketing leadership on success against team KPIs.
- Data integrations. Partner with the Data Team to integrate data sources needed to support email campaigns.
- Be a resource and drive channel innovation. Serves as subject matter expert on platform capabilities, automation processes, customer lifecycle development, deliverability and email marketing best practices. Keep up with evolving platform and industry changes and proactively implement to support goals.
- Team management. Coach and guide a team of direct reports to help them grow and develop their careers.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE: - 10+ years related B2B and B2C experience, including 5+ years of CRM management experience and a 5 years of People Management experience.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, including experience with SFMC's contact data model.
- Expert-level experience in AMPScript for dynamic content creation.
- Advanced proficiency in HTML and CSS, with a focus on email template building.
- Expert understanding of data concepts, including APIs, JSON, and ETLs.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing high-volume email campaigns across multiple markets, with expertise in email best practices, deliverability, and CAN-SPAM compliance.
- Proficient in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Automation Studio, Journey Builder, and Audience Builder, with a proven ability to build complex user journeys.
- Strong ability to leverage data-driven insights for optimizing email campaigns and achieving measurable results.
- Proven experience driving large scale customer lifecycle programs
- Proven record of collaborating cross-functionally to create personalized customer experiences.
- Must exhibit strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills; with English a must, and Spanish preferred.
- College/University graduate required.
