Mission: The Zone Head of Compliance for Iberia and Italy will support the zone Management, Business, GSC and Function Leaders and employees in the deployment and effective implementation of the Group Compliance Program aligned with the risks identified in the Zone.

What will you do?
  • Ensure Group compliance policies, standards, and processes are effectively implemented within the regional regulatory context, adapting them as needed for local laws, in collaboration with Zone Legal team and Human Resources;
  • Manage compliance process related requests (Gifts & Hospitality, Conflict of Interest, third party screening flags...) and monitor process effectiveness
  • Lead the local compliance risk assessment process: identify, assess, and mitigate local compliance risks in alignment with the Group framework. Define, assign (when needed)/deploy the related actions plan;
  • Ensure a Zone Compliance Committee is in place to review compliance strategy, monitor risks, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
  • Manage end-to-end process related to Schneider Electric Whistleblowing system for zone in collaboration with Group Operational Compliance Committee, Fraud Examination Team, HR Investigators, Legal Team;
  • Conduct training sessions to raise awareness of compliance risks, compliance program and obligations among employees, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability;
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to local leadership, providing guidance on interpreting Group compliance policies and local regulations.
  • Ensure proactive monitoring of legislative and regulatory changes within the relevant geographic area.
    • Analyse the impact of new provisions on internal policies and procedures.
    • Propose adjustments or action plans (including to Group compliance program team) to maintain continuous compliance.
    • Inform and advise local stakeholders on relevant regulatory changes.
  • Support auditors during the internal audits conducted in your zone


Education and experience
  • +8 years of experience within a large multinational corporation in Ethics & Compliance areas
  • Experience in dealing with compliance issues, such as anticorruption regulations (e.g., UK Bribery Act), anti-fraud, ethics & HR matters (e.g. Modern Slavery Act, Equality Act)
  • Relevant education or external accreditation in the areas of compliance, legal, audit, quality or risk management
Skills and attributes:
  • High level of integrity
  • Ability to operate effectively in challenging or conflictual environments, demonstrating resilience and confidence when addressing sensitive issues or opposing viewpoints
  • Excellent communication skills in multi-cultural environment.
  • Strong convincing & influencing skills
  • Good ability to network in various environments & matrix organization
  • Team spirit
  • Appetence to understand business model and go-to-market.
  • Languages: ideally fluent in Spanish or Italian (or at least fluent in one of these languages and with notions in the other), fluent in English is also a must
  • Ability to travel when required.
Relations:
  • Reporting to head of Group compliance program and Europe compliance
  • Very close collaboration with zone Legal, zone HR, zone Internal Control & Audit and Ethics Delegates network.
  • Zone Top Management and Business Leaders
  • Close collaboration with Group HR Compliance Officer, Global HR Investigator & Fraud Examination Team
  • Sales, Marketing & Global Supply Chain (including sustainable purchasing team)
  • Potentially any employee asking for support
  • External stakeholders (Auditors, Institutions, professional networks, other businesses)
