Schneider Digital is the digital department of Schneider Electric, leading the digital transformation in the company by giving support globally to our internal teams and our clients. Schneider Digital consists of 6 Digital Hubs worldwide which are strategically located to ensure a 24/7 support across the company (France, China, India, USA, Mexico and Spain). Our Digital Hub in Barcelona is formed by +450 employees working in strategic projects and different roles such as Data, Cybersecurity, ERP, Cloud, Infrastructures, IT Project Management or Digital Marketing.

As part of the End-to-End Digital Customer Relationships organization, the Squad Lead plays a key role in ensuring efficient delivery of high-quality digital products and services. This role focuses on empowering team members, fostering a healthy and collaborative squad culture, and ensuring visibility and predictability of delivery across sprints and PI Plannings.

The Squad Lead is responsible for team organization, progress tracking, and creating an environment where each squad member can perform at their best. This includes monitoring team health, supporting personal development, and removing impediments that impact delivery.

In this role, you will also collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and continuous improvement within the squad.

What will you do:

People & Team Leadership
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and psychologically safe environment within the squad.
  • Regularly check team members' wellbeing, motivation, and engagement, acting early when support is needed.
  • Conduct 1: 1s and help team members grow through coaching, feedback, and development plans.
  • Drive team autonomy and accountability while ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.
Delivery & Organization
  • Organize and facilitate squad ceremonies (daily stand ups, sprint planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives).
  • Track sprint progress, velocity, and dependencies using Jira and other delivery tools.
  • Ensure work items are well structured, estimated, and progressing according to commitments.
  • Identify risks, blockers, and inefficiencies early, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Support the Delivery Lead in backlog organization and prioritization.
Communication & Stakeholder Alignment
  • Provide regular updates on squad progress, KPIs, and team health.
  • Ensure transparency in delivery status and escalate issues when needed.
Continuous Improvement
  • Promote continuous improvement in ways of working, processes, and team dynamics.
  • Analyze delivery metrics and feedback to drive actionable improvements.
  • Encourage experimentation, learning, and adoption of best practices within the squad.
Technical Awareness
  • Use your technical background to understand the squad's work, challenge solutions when needed, and contribute to decision making.
  • Help ensure technical debt is identified, managed, and communicated.
  • Work fluently with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and typical software delivery platforms.
What will make you successful:
  • Proven experience leading technical teams, Scrum teams, or squads in an Agile environment.
  • Strong people centric mindset with excellent interpersonal, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum, lean delivery principles, and modern software development workflows.
  • Hands on experience with Jira, Confluence, and similar project management tools.
  • Technical background enabling effective collaboration with engineers and architects.
  • Strong communication skills (written & spoken) in English.
  • High sense of ownership, initiative, and problem solving capabilities.
  • Due to the nature of this position sitting on a global team, fluent English communication skills (written & spoken) is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate and convince at various levels of the organization, and in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and manage priorities.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Initiative to uncover and solve problems proactively.
  • Ability to understand complex software development environments.
Nice to have
  • Knowledge or experience with MDM (Master Data Management), specifically in Informatica Cloud SaaS.
  • Background in key data management practices, including golden record creation, data cleansing and standardization, data quality monitoring, and defining survivorship rules.
