Your Impact Is Vital

As Senior Director, Fixed Site Operations & Donor Experience, you will provide strategic leadership to optimize operational performance and elevate the donor experience across all fixed site locations. This role is accountable for achieving collection goals, standardizing workflows, and strengthening donor engagement through Customer Care, Recruitment, and Special Services teams.

Partnering closely with national Marketing and Donor Services leaders, you will align fixed site strategies with organizational priorities-driving consistency, innovation, and excellence across the donor journey. You will also champion technology adoption, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance donor loyalty and strengthen Vitalant's competitive position.
What You'll Do
  • Lead Fixed Site Strategy & Operations
    Develop and execute national strategies that optimize fixed site operations and elevate donor experience, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and growth priorities.
  • Drive Performance & Results
    Oversee forecasting, capacity planning, and performance metrics to achieve collection goals, monitor trends, and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Elevate Donor Experience & Engagement
    Establish consistent donor experience standards and lead initiatives that improve donor loyalty, retention, satisfaction, and appointment utilization.
  • Champion Innovation & Technology Adoption
    Lead implementation of new technologies, digital tools, and process improvements that enhance efficiency, automation, and the donor journey.
  • Strengthen Cross-Functional Collaboration
    Partner with Marketing, Donor Services, Scheduling, and Customer Care to ensure cohesive strategies and seamless, end-to-end donor experiences.
  • Develop & Empower Leaders
    Hire, mentor, and develop leaders at multiple levels, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure Financial Stewardship & Compliance
    Support budget development, identify opportunities for efficiency, and ensure operations comply with internal SOPs and external regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Knowledge/ Education
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Operations, or a related field required; or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience. Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or related discipline) strongly preferred.

Experience
1.Eight years related experience required. To include:

• Six years leadership experience required.
• Five years fixed site operations experience required. A combination of recruitment experience and operations experience in donor services may be substituted to meet the five-year requirement.

Skills/Abilities
1.Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.
2.Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
3.Must have analytical, statistical, personal organization, and problem-solving skills.
4.Able to organize, prioritize, and execute a variable workload and multiple priorities.
5.Effective oral and written business communication skills.
6.Must have a participative management style, strong team development, coaching skills, and the ability to lead and motivate senior and executive-level managers.
7.Ability to work in a team environment and participate as an active member of management.
8.Must have proficient computer skills.
9.Ability to travel (30-40+%).
