Description Vitalant is seeking a
Biotherapies Marketing Program Director to lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of marketing programs that advance the full spectrum of Biotherapies products and services powering our life-saving mission. Focused on CGT (cell and gene therapy) growth initiatives, B2B brand development, and digital experience transformation, this role ensures Vitalant's biotherapies capabilities are clearly positioned to support patients, partners, and innovation across the healthcare ecosystem.
Serving as the strategic owner of the Biotherapies digital roadmap, you'll lead the revitalization of vitalanthealth.org and future web properties in direct support of Biotherapies, partnering closely with Digital Marketing and agency teams to deliver intuitive UX, strong SEO performance, and scalable content architecture for B2B audiences. As a senior individual contributor, you'll connect strategy, digital infrastructure, and messaging across functions to strengthen Vitalant's competitive presence and expand the impact of our life-saving work.

As a
Marketing Program Director, you'll get to:
- Define and lead the enterprise content marketing strategy for scientific and biotherapies audiences with a digital-first approach.
- Partner with subject matter experts to translate complex research and technical concepts into engaging, compliant, audience-specific content.
- Oversee the planning, production, and distribution of content across Vitalant's websites, social platforms, and partner channels.
- Collaborate with Digital Marketing to ensure all content is optimized for SEO, user experience, and analytics visibility.
- Implement scalable content systems and use AI-assisted tools (such as transcription, drafting, and workflow automation) to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Create compelling "proof stories" that showcase outcomes, partnerships, and scientific impact to elevate Vitalant's thought leadership.
- Manage program budgets and vendor partnerships to ensure fiscal accuracy and high-quality execution.
- Track content performance metrics and refine strategies using data-driven insights.
- Tailor complexity, tone, and style for scientific and professional audiences-maintaining credibility, clarity, and precision.
Requirements Knowledge/ Education - Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field or equivalent experience. Master's degree strongly preferred.
- Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean, Agile) preferred.
Experience - 5 years' experience in content marketing and scientific communications (life sciences or healthcare preferred), with 3 years' experience managing a team.
- Demonstrated success leading multi-program portfolios and advising at the senior leadership level.
- Proven ability to drive organizational alignment, influence across functions, and deliver results at scale.
Skills/Abilities - Exceptional strategic planning and program design capabilities.
