Support Vitalant's life saving mission by performing highly complex time sensitive testing and processing of irreplaceable blood products for cancer patients. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely, high-quality test results.
What to Expect Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 8: 00 AM - 4: 30 PM (with schedule flexibility required) and rotating on call weekends.

As a Clinical Laboratory Specialist, you'll get to: - Conduct preparation and prequalification of reagents, as well as routine testing of biological samples.
- Execute preventive maintenance and quality control on equipment, identifying malfunctions and performing troubleshooting and calibrations.
- Aid in monitoring the supply of reagent levels and promptly notifying management when new supplies are needed.
- Complete required competency assessments and documentation.
- Assist in the evaluations of reagents, equipment, and new methods.
- Test, process and cryopreserve critical life saving blood for cancer patients.
- Import and export blood products.
- Support local infusions.
Requirements - Bachelors of Science degree required.
- CLIA requirements for high complexity testing required.
- Valid in-state drivers license.
- One year of Clinical laboratory experience required.
