We're seeking an Annual Fund Manager to lead and grow our annual giving program. In this role, you'll develop and execute multi-channel fundraising strategies-direct mail, digital campaigns, giving days, donor retention, monthly giving, and employee giving-all focused on building long-term donor engagement and impact.

This position will have a hybrid work environment operating from the Scottsdale, AZ location 3 days per week and working from a remote/ at-home office 2 days per week.

As our Annual Fund Manager, you'll get to:
  • Develop and implement a year-round annual fund strategy aligned with Vitalant Foundation's goals
  • Lead multi-channel fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, email, social media, employee giving, and giving days
  • Oversee donor segmentation and tracking to support timely, personalized outreach
  • Partner with communications and marketing teams to create compelling campaign materials
  • Analyze campaign performance, donor trends, and retention data to optimize future efforts
  • Manage and grow the monthly sustainer program and recurring donor engagement
  • Collaborate with the database/CRM team to ensure accurate records and reporting
  • Coordinate peer-to-peer fundraising and volunteer ambassador initiatives
  • Deliver meaningful donor stewardship through acknowledgments, updates, and impact communications
  • Support special event fundraising and donor cultivation activities as needed


Requirements

Knowledge/ Education

Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field required.

Experience
  • 5 years of professional fundraising experience, with demonstrated success in managing annual campaigns for non-profit organizations, required. To include:
    • Experience building strong relationships with prospects, donors and collaborators through a comprehensive management plan.
    • Track Record of meeting and exceeding ambitious goals and managing a portfolio of donors.
  • One year of healthcare or scientific research experience, preferred.
Skills/Abilities
  • Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented fundraiser with a passion for donor engagement and nonprofit mission advancement.
  • Strong understanding of donor segmentation, data-driven fundraising, and digital strategy.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems (Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or similar).
  • Ability to lead and manage collaborators and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and develop relationships with donors.

  • Passion for storytelling and connecting donors to mission.
  • High attention to detail and follow-through
  • Creativity in fundraising and engagement approaches
