Group Fitness Instructor - Southwest Valley Family YMCA

Provides instruction, leadership and maintains a safe environment while conducting and monitoring effective and enjoyable group exercise classes. RESPONSIBILITIES OF A GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR: Motivate and lead class participants through fun, enjoyable classes Create positive lasting memories for each participant, each day *This is not an exhaustive list of job duties. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned. REQUIREMENTS TO BE A GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR: Minimum age 18. Must enjoy teaching others. Current state approved First Aid, CPR/AED Certificate. Current nationally recognized group fitness instructor certificate (e.g. ACE, AFAA YMCA Group Fitness Instructor, ACSM or National Exercise Trainers Association only). Must have a current instructor certification in Zumba, Jazzercise, MixxedFit or any similar style of dance group fitness. A positive energetic attitude with the ability to motivate others.
