Requirements and Description

Position Summary

The Computer Training Coordinator is responsible for organizing, facilitating, and supporting computer-based training programs. This role ensures that training sessions run smoothly by scheduling classes, preparing materials, assisting learners, and maintaining technology resources. The coordinator works closely with instructors, staff, and students to create a positive, efficient learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate computer training sessions.

• Prepare training materials, handouts, and digital resources.

• Set up and test computers, software, and audiovisual equipment before each class.

• Welcome participants and assist with logins or technical issues.

• Monitor sessions to ensure they stay on track and address learner needs.

• Provide one-on-one assistance to students who need extra support.

• Maintain accurate attendance and training records.

• Collect and analyze participant feedback to improve training programs.

• Coordinate with IT staff to ensure systems and software are updated.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and functional training environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in common computer applications (Microsoft Office, email, internet navigation).

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to troubleshoot basic technical problems.

• Prior experience in training, education, or IT support preferred.

Work Environment

• Primarily based in a computer lab, classroom, or training center.

• May require occasional evening or weekend sessions.

• Combination of desk work, classroom facilitation, and hands-on tech support.
